Las Virgenes Canyon

A business trip to California is always a perfect opportunity for Alfredo to discover new landscapes to photograph. The West Coast of the United States, geographically, bears many similarities to Chile—but with subtle differences. The sun hits a little differently, the people exude a more laid-back vibe, and, of course, Los Angeles' sheer size can be overwhelming.

That’s why finding a piece of nature right next to the city felt like a gift. The golden hills of Las Virgenes Canyon were an oddly familiar sight for Alfredo. He recognized the soft slopes and short grass covering the rolling hills, reminiscent of landscapes back home. As the sun dipped lower in the late afternoon, it cast a stunning light, bringing silhouettes to life.
